Yes it absolutely is brother! Great sermon as always. I had an old teacher that use to say “silence is golden.” It truly is and renews my strength while sitting in silence thinking about all of Gods creations and scripture. Love love love this.
Just some thoughts for you to consider. Please hear this as said with an honest, sincere, and friendly tone. In this video it is stated, “If Paul told Titus that these children must be Christians, then he left Timothy without enough information to appoint bishops.” This statement assumes that Timothy’s only source for information about the eldership and their qualifications is Paul’s letter to him. However, Timothy traveled extensively with Paul on his missionary journeys. Most notably Timothy traveled with Paul to Philippi, a church that seems to have had elders (Phil 1:1-2) shortly after being formed, as was Paul’s manner. Timothy likely witnessed that selection and appointment process and probably did so in other churches that were formed during his travels with Paul. Not only that, Acts 14 implies that there were elders in the church where Timothy became a Christian. It may be those elders who lay their hands on Timothy and sent him on his journey with Paul (1 Tim 4:14). So to state that Timothy was somehow at a disadvantage compared to Titus because his list doesn’t say “believing” makes an assumption that goes too far. This would not have been his only source of qualifications. It is not a necessary conclusion that “there is a hole in the 1 Timothy text.” It is fair to conclude, based on practical evidence from the Scriptures, that Timothy had more information than just this text and that his understanding and experience would be the same as Titus and include information beyond what Paul wrote in the letter. It would seem that to take the text and say “to be fair” we can’t conclude the elder’s children must be Christians, and then say, “I’m not saying we should appoint men whose children aren’t Christians” is being unfair. It is going beyond the text, if indeed all it says is trustworthy or faithful to their father, to the require the man’s children be Christians. If that is what the text means, we should then be willing to appoint men whose children are merely faithful to their father and not necessarily to the Lord. The more recent translations render the word in Titus as “believe” or “believers.” That represents numerous translators who are knowledgeable in Greek and likely more liberal in their thinking than the translators of the KJV. This can’t simply be dismissed as translator bias but must be carefully considered, especially by those of us who are not Greek scholars. Thanks for listening.
Interesting story, the way I’ve looked at this story is that it’s an allegorie, that paints a picture of some one turning back from the true focus of out faith which should be the cross. For example Jeroboam was offering up incense on the alter at Bethel, he should have been offering up a sacrifice at Solomons temple in Judea, which in the old testament was a picture of the cross to come. The man of God was instructed to correct him, then leave by a different way, this shows in God we can only go forward in our faith, not turn back in any way, or turn to a different way. When the false prophet found the man of God, he was sitting under the oak tree, this is the position we should always be in, as the oak tree represents the cross, so we should live our life in the shadow of the cross, however the old prophet comes to the man of God and tells him to go back to his place. I see two problems here, one is he is going back to an old doctrine that does not anchor their faith in the cross, it could be a doctrine of works, and second one is he is eating and drinking from the old way of teaching before he learnt the “message of the cross” which is the terminology the apostle Paul called it in 1 Corinthians 1:10. To summarize, its simply going back to old teachings that do not teach the “message of the cross”.
Question friend .What did the resurrected Christ say?Not sure what you’re saying.Commandments backed by example do not equal works of men.Faith is Gods creation and regulated by Him.Without Faith it is impossible to please Him.
We need to be teaching our congregations to Value God's word over programs. Preaching the content and intent of God's word is what unleashes the power of God on the people of God because God's power for building his people is in his word, particularly as we find it in the gospel Romans 1:16 God's word builds his church so preaching his gospel is primary
Thank you so much for taking the time to create this!! I really had no system when I marked my previous Bible, but now that I've gotten a new one, I'd like to use a system that will be efficient and organized. I'm really intrigued by your method of marking and I think it will actually make it fun to look for and mark these special words and verses, while making it much easier to quickly find the scripture I'm looking for.
I came from an outlaw family. We were not religious at all. My father is a pervert, narcissistic tyrant and my mother is an angry, mentally ill woman. I love them both but that is the truth. My father & his family were rarely seen without alcohol in hand, cursed like sailors & treated most ppl poorly, unless it was someone useful to them. Nothing i did was ever enough & i have come to realize that now that im in my 40s, i have the same relationship with him as anyone else. I am only loved when im useful & never appreciated. My mother continues to lie to this day. She backbit, slandered & gossiped even about her own family. This is how i grew up. I wasnt introduced to religion until after my folks divorced. We attended a handful of churches, congregational ones, but nothing ever stuck. I didnt find my faith until far into adulthood when my wife's family introduced me to the Scriptures & a small church of Christ. My faith walk has been more of a crawl. Even after preaching the gospel at a congregation for 5.5 years, in truth, it has still been a series of falling away, coming back, falling away & coming back. I am a modern day Peter and I say this shame faced. I am trying to claw my way back. But this falling away has been hardest of all to come back from. Im trying. I ask your prayers for God's mercy. Thank you for these videos. May God bless and keep you as you labor in His vineyard.
I laughed out loud at the assertion that the first pope was Boniface in 605 AD! But this is typical of classic mainline Protestant 'church history' which says "We had Jesus, the apostles, the churches of the epistles. Then a Big Bad time from about 150 AD to the 1500s. With the Reformation, things were fixed and we follwed the plain teaching of Holy Writ, resulting in our church being right. Not like those losers over at the Second Church of Christ, with their heretical interpretation of scripture." 😊😊
There is no alternative history. He never said anything about "our church is right" he simply said that the Bible is right and the Bible is all we need...because it is. We don't need the decrees of men or the writs of men. All we need is The Word, Jesus Christ crucified & raised from the dead. I pray that you will look into the Word and come to the same conclusion. God bless you my friend.
For a subject that comes up at the end of nearly every sermon preached in the Lords church it's about time that it comes at the biginning, middle AND end of a Gosple sermon. Baptism IS a big deal just as God's redemption is a big deal. Those discounting the importance of baptism are definately discounting the teachings of Christ.
I went to the website but no download of these items ... no SEARCH box that I could see .... too bad they didn’t keep this going for those who need it.
The Jews crossed at the Gulf of Acaba into Arabia, which is where Mount Sinai is located! Solomon erected two columns at the crossing point. Saudia Arabia hauled the one on their side off! The remains of their chariots can still be seen underwater at the crossing point!
Psalm 143, Job 🙏❤️🙏
howdy?. perfect editing- =))
Great teacher of the word 0f God 😂 Bless you.

Is it too late to receive the Bible Marking system legend? How much does it cost?

sound fixes at 8 minuets
An important lesson learned; if I want to follow Christ and please Him I must exercise self-control.
How do you pick which words you highlight in certain colors??? 🖍️📖 Do you have a specific color code system that you use?????????????
Can you please write down the exact same code system that you use for this study. What colors do you use??????
Your sound is not good as it cuts outgo
Great Bible marking system. Thanks for sharing!

Isaiah 22: 23....Messianic...the "nail" (vav) is a letter in the name of Noah!
They found the split rock near Mount Sinia, which is three stories high! It is huge....

Google, Night Signs, by Aquilla Fleetwood, youtube!
The shape of a "fish" is a Paleo-Semitic letter, "dalet", which means a "door"! Christ said, "I will make you fishers of men."
